Inspired by the half-remembered mythology of Masters of the Universe and the spirit of the 1980s exhibition The Batman Show by the artist collective Collab, He-Man Show brings together an eclectic group of artists responding to one of popular culture's most absurd cartoon universes.
The exhibition embraces the camp, muscle-bound heroes, eccentric villains, impossible costumes and the strange logic of Saturday morning television. Artists reimagine the world of Eternia in ways that are playful, unexpected and deeply personal.
Moving beyond nostalgia, He-Man Show invites artists to reimagine the toys, cartoons and myths that shaped childhood and the power they continue to hold in our collective imagination. What new stories emerge from these oversized icons of good and evil?
Bold and humorous, He-Man Show invites audiences to enter a world where high and low culture collide, where fantasy becomes material for experimentation, and where the only real rule is to have fun.
