The core of Kate’s practice is an exploration of interconnectedness and cycles of experience. ‘touching, not mastering’, borrowed from Laura U. Marks, describes her approach towards the materials she uses or people she works with. The non-specificity of medium and process in her work places the emphasis on the nature of relationship itself. Collaboration is a significant part of her practice, working with others, becoming intimate with their ways of seeing and being.

Kate was selected for the a-n sponsored RD1st Coaching Training scheme in 2017 and is a qualified coach with The Hour Collective supporting artists in their personal and professional development.
